Many people groups have recently moved to Australia and are seeking a new way of life. The Nepalese and Bhutanese previously did not have the freedom to follow Jesus in their home countries but now enjoy freedom to hear the Gospel and to make the decision to follow Christ.
People are open to the Gospel when they leave their own community or country and move to new places. These people groups not only have the opportunity to hear the Gospel in Australia but they then become the most strategic people to take the gospel back to their countries of origin.
Uttam and Mira with their two children moved to Australia in 2008. There they pioneered a Nepalese ministry in Sydney and established the planting of Nepalese Churches in Sydney. This gospel movement has developed and spread to different parts of Australia.
